The Parental Recovery Child Recovery Team is privileged to have Robb Leer of Leer Communication & Consultants, LLC, as its Media Liaison.

Robb Leer is a former award winning journalist with more than two decades of media and communication experience in the radio and television industry. He is the founder and President of Leer Communication & Consultants LLC.  Leer worked 24 years for KSTP-TV, Hubbard Broadcasting in St. Paul.

He was a sports reporter in the 1980’s; his global assignments included 3-winter Olympics; Lake Placid in 1980, Sarajevo, Yugoslavia in 1984 and Calgary, Alberta in 1988.  In addition to his TV sports reporting assignments, Leer worked extensively for KSTP-AM radio's coverage of the NHL’s Minnesota North Stars and UM Gopher Hockey broadcasts.  In the 1990’s Leer’s tenacious reporting style earned him a promotion as the station’s senior Investigative Reporter.  A decade of investigative reporting was recognized six times with Emmy awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Leer’s transition to the private sector began in the summer of 2003.  He has actively served as a media consultant to numerous Twin Cities companies.  Leer Communication & Consultants; specializes in developing crisis communication plans, media training exercises, and the execution of marketing strategies that warrant news coverage.  Since PACRT'S inception, Leer has served as the Chief Media Liaison, responsible for the coordination and public profile connections on behalf of the press for this non profit organization.

Leer is a native of the Twin Cities, born and raised in Minneapolis. He attended the University of North Dakota, majoring in Radio & TV Communications.

Robb and his wife Maureen, have three children.
